Probably a bit on the shitty side I'd guess? |

Behold the irony: MST3K will now be distributing through Shout! Factory at the end of their Rhino contract. Shout! Factory distributed the Film Crew discs.
*sigh*
What? Why the fuck would Mallon do that? I guess I like to think of all the MST3K guys as good buds, but that's pretty messed up. What were his reasons?!
Because Mallon is a Douchebag. He did that, he Forced Joel to leave MST3K, and he hates Cinematic Titanic. Just cuz HE doesn't like something, or it's not being done how HE wants, he'll be a dick about it.
Hence, Mallon is a Douchebag. __________________ Pro wrestling and Riffing: Made for each other.

Where did that info come from? I'd be very surprised if he's actually commented on CT! |

To be fair, i read the "HATES CT" part on a not-so-trusted internet site, so believe what you want.
Mallon isn't a fan of Joel. As a matter of fact, he and Joel are, let's say, Mortal Enemies. (Im Exaggerating, it's not THAT BAD, but let's just say) Mallon thinks MST3K is HIS.
There's actually a CT Torrent out there by Jim Mallon (I doubt it, but i wouldn't be surprised) __________________ Pro wrestling and Riffing: Made for each other.

Well, unfortunately Mallon technically does own MST3K, literally. He owns all of the rights and original master tapes and as Executive Producer of all 198 episodes including the Movie he has say so in what happens to them. But we all know, just as Mallon does that MST3K is Joel's baby. He is the comedian. He created the idea. ALL of it! Satelite in space, riffing on bad movies, robot companions (which he also built with Trace), the whole 9 yards. True without Mike there wouldn't have been such good riffing as he is the Riff Master. And Kevin gave us his fantastic voice for songs, chanting during episodes, voice effect riffs, and of course Bobo. And Bill I can sum up in one word, Observer!
So what did Mallon bring to the table besides money and Gypsies voice? Nada! We all know who the real masterminds behind MST3K were. Mallon is just a cheap dime-store hood with money and an ego. __________________ CORE

Oh by the way to get on topic I recently received my first episode of The Film Crew "Hollywood After Dark" and it was really funny! It seems like the movie was so bad even Mike, Kevin and Bill had a bit of a hard time writing riffs lol. But as always they came through for us, taking advantage of everything they could what with having Rue McLanahan staring.

I still think "Killers from Space" was the funniest. __________________ "The master would not aprove." |

The Film crew can now be viewed for free on line (with commercials) at http://www.hulu.com/film-crew . They have 3 of the 4 episodes up- Hollywood After Dark, Wild Women of Wongo and Giant of Marathon. There are also clips for the DVD extras, such as Mike's apology after Giant (very funny) and Bill's Ode to Lunch poetry slam. __________________ "I can say rat droppings. Netflix has four episodes available, with Hollywood After Dark and Killers from Space available to watch instantly. I've seen them numerous times, and also rented the dvds of the other episodes. __________________ And Beth loves Zinger. |

I've got all 4, and if I had to rank them, it'd be: 1) Wild Woman of Wongo, 2) Giant of Marathon, 3) Killers from Space, and 97) Hollywood After Dark.
I liked the 'Map of the World' lunch break from Wongo, but the others were just...there.
I did love the 'Mike Nelson apologizes' from Giant, and all the bonus features from Wongo.
My only disappointment was the release order (other than the fact it took them 2 years to get to market); having seen Hollywood After Dark first, I was afraid the others might be on a similar level (AKA 'Unfunny').
